If your Aeroo Pro drone isn’t powering up or turns off shortly after starting, don’t worry — this is often something simple that can be resolved with a few quick checks.
Steps to Get Your Drone Back in the Air
Step 1: Check the Battery Charge
Tap the battery’s power button once:
- No lights? The battery might just need a recharge.
- Flashing Lights? It’s in a low-charge state.
- What to do: Connect it to the official Aeroo Charger and let it charge fully before trying again.
Step 2: Make Sure the Battery is Installed Properly
- Insert the battery until you hear a click - this means it’s securely in place.
- Check that it sits flush with the drone’s body.
Step 3: Wake the Battery Up From Storage Mode
If the battery has been unused for an extended period, it may enter a low-power “sleep” state:
- Connect it to the charger and allow it to charge for at least 10 minutes.
- Attempt to power on the drone again after charging.
Step 4: Use the Correct Power-On Sequence
- Quickly press and release the drone's power button.
- Immediately press and hold the power button until all four lights illuminate.
This sequence is designed to prevent accidental power-ups.
Step 5: Check Battery Temperature
Batteries operate best within a specific temperature range:
- If the battery feels cold: Warm it up gradually to room temperature before use.
- If the battery feels too warm for charging: Let it cool before powering on the drone.
Step 6: Inspect the Battery Contacts
- Wipe the battery and drone contact switch with a dry cloth to make sure they’re clean
- Avoid using liquids or cleaners
The contacts are the gold dots on the battery and charger.
Step 7: Try an Alternate Battery
If you’ve got a second battery, pop it in and see if the drone powers on.
- If it does, the first battery may need service or replacement.
