Do I Need a License or Registration to Fly the Aeroo Pro?

In the USA, FAA rules determine if you need a license or registration for your Aeroo Pro. 

 

Recreational Use:

If you're flying the Aeroo Pro purely for fun or personal enjoyment, you must: 

  • Register the drone with the FAA if it weighs more than 0.55lbs (250g).
  • Follow the FAA's Recreational Drone Safety Rules. 
  • Completing the TRUST Test (free online safety course). 

Safety Rules Include: 

  • Flying only during daylight hours and in good weather conditions.
  • Keeping the drone within visual line of sight at all times.
  • Not flying over people, populous areas, or within 4km of controlled aerodromes.
  • Not flying higher than 120m above ground level.

Commercial Use:

If you intend to use the Aeroo Pro for business, you must:

  • Register the Drone with the FAA.
  • Obtain a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate by passing the FAA's aeronautical knowledge test.
